I visited the Nandi Hills this weekend. It amazes me what God has made possible. I first visited the Nandi Hills on a short term mission trip with some of my friends from Texas this January. What I thought would be a week of door to door ministry with my friends, has turned into the planting of a new Bible school. The Kenyans in this school are amazing men and women of God and I have a lot of respect for them. They have put a lot of effort into opening this new school. I spoke to them about the importance of doing evangelism and discipleship in the tea factory work camps we had visited in January. Then, the unbelievable happened! They turned around and introduced me to the overseer of all the work camps. He was there! He is now one of the students in our class! He has given us permission to come and go as we need, and is happy to help in any way. Praise the Lord; there could not be a wider door opened to reaching these men and women with biblical truth. Not only will we be able to go there freely, but we wont be emailing, faxing, texting, and calling tea factories all the time because the man we need to speak with is in class!
The families at these work camps are very open to the gospel and hungry to know more about Christ. Everyone we shared the gospel with accepted Christ as Savior and wanted to know more about him.
Here are some pictures of the beautiful drive there and back. I am told some of the tea bushes on this road are over 100 years old and were planted by the British.
